South Salt Lake Creative Placemaking Walking Tour
Join CNU-UT and South Salt Lake City for a walking tour of Mural Fest in Downtown SSL and see artists in action, painting ten murals in the neighborhood.
We’ll see projects that are earning the city a reputation for creative redevelopment and adaptive reuse, including: The Art Factory, Counterpoint Studios, The Water Tower Project, Saltfire Brewery, Beehive Distillery, and more. Our guides will share stories about in creative placemaking. They will also show the plan for the city's Creative Industry Zone, prepared with the support of Creative Community Builders.

Walking Tour: Ogden River Parkway & Ogden Riverbend Development
Join us for a walking tour of the Riverband Development in Ogden aka "What to do with the 10 acre block?"
Learn about the recent renewal and transformation of the Ogden River Parkway and see the Ogden Riverbend infill development project.
Ogden City’s early layout was based on the plat of Zion. Until recently that plan was both a blessing in traffic circulation and a curse in better utilization of land and connectivity. The tour will explore four sites that discuss the evolution of opening up the blocks, involving other partners and future concepts that will be used to even further the ability to improve connectivity while providing new housing options that are not isolated in the traditional block neighborhood.

Jordan River UrbanThink and Kayak Tour
Urban Development Impact & Framework
Jordan River UrbanThink and Kayak Tour
Join CNU Utah, the Jordan River Commission, and the Utah Division of Water Quality at an UrbanThink on new statewide water quality regulations being developed for “low impact development”, followed by a mobile workshop that includes a paddling tour in canoes of the Jordan River.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of water quality impacts from urban development on the Jordan River, one of the most degraded water bodies in the State of Utah due to stormwater runoff. The presentation will include an introduction to the framework for new urban and suburban development regulations that will be implemented state wide in the spring of 2019. The mobile tour will allow participants to see and experience first-hand some of the urban impacts of urban development on the Jordan River, and efforts being coordinated among local, state, federal and private development partners to improve urban ecological systems and improve the health of the Jordan River and other water bodies in the State of Utah.
